Watches And Wonders Geneva Foundation Has 3 New Members

Chanel, Hermès, LVMH Join Up

Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation (WWGF) has announced that Chanel, Hermès, and LVMH have joined forces with founding members Rolex, Richemont, and Patek Philippe.

This marks a pivotal moment for the Foundation’s mission to empower the global fine watchmaking sector.

Established in September 2022 under the leadership of Rolex, Richemont, and Patek Philippe, WWGF aims to support and advance the watchmaking industry.

Including Chanel, Hermès, and LVMH underscores the Foundation’s commitment to fostering collaboration among key stakeholders.

After a successful tenure as WWGF Chairperson, Jean-Frédéric Dufour, CEO of Rolex, will pass the baton to Cyrille Vigneron, President and CEO of Cartier, effective July 1, 2024. Dufour will assume the role of Treasurer within WWGF, ensuring continuity and financial stewardship.

Heading into its next phase under Vigneron’s leadership as Chairperson and Claude Peny as Vice-Chairman, WWGF’s board will focus on strategic initiatives and the future growth of Watches and Wonders Geneva.

The biennial event, which attracted 54 exhibiting brands and 49,000 visitors in its last edition in April 2024, achieved record-breaking success.

The Exhibiting Committee, composed of representatives from participating brands, will continue to play a crucial role in shaping the event’s direction and success.

The integration of Chanel, Hermès, and LVMH into WWGF is poised to elevate Watches and Wonders Geneva to new heights, reaffirming its status as a premier showcase for the finest in watchmaking innovation and artisanry on a global stage.

Watches and Wonders Shanghai 2024 will be held at the West Bund Art Centre from August 28 to September 1, 2024. The first two days will be reserved for watch industry professionals, followed by public access.

The exhibiting brands at Watches and Wonders Shanghai 2024 are A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, Nomos Glashütte, Panerai, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, and Vacheron Constantin.

The next Watches and Wonders Geneva edition is scheduled for April 1-7, 2025.
