World Economic Forum postpones Jeddah meeting amid regional developments

Dubai, UAE — March 2026 — The World Economic Forum, in coordination with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Economy and Planning, has announced the rescheduling of the International Meeting on Cooperation and Growth, originally set to take place in Jeddah on April 22–23, 2026.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the decision was made at the Forum’s request in light of current regional developments, ensuring the meeting is held at a time that maximizes its intended impact. 

The ministry emphasized that the Kingdom remains fully prepared to host the international gathering in Jeddah, drawing on its extensive experience and proven organizational excellence in managing major global events. 

Saudi Arabia has solidified its position as a leading global platform for dialogue in recent years, underscored by the success of the World Economic Forum’s Special Meeting hosted in Riyadh in 2024. 

The ministry added that it looks forward to convening the international meeting at a new date to be announced later.

The World Economic Forum stated that the International Meeting on Cooperation and Growth serves as a key platform for fostering constructive global dialogue. 

Following coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Forum decided to reschedule the event to ensure maximum benefit and enhance its global impact.
