Abu Dhabi: Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced the addition of Assiut to its growing network of destinations, further strengthening air connectivity between the UAE and Egypt.

Starting November 4, 2025, the capital’s first low-cost carrier will operate two weekly flights linking Zayed International Airport with Assiut International Airport. Services will run on Tuesdays and Fridays, catering to both leisure and business travellers.

The new route marks Assiut as the third Egyptian city served by Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, joining Cairo and Alexandria. The airline said the expansion reflects its commitment to enhancing travel options between the two countries while offering affordable fares.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, commented:

“We are pleased to launch our newest service to Assiut, extending our reach into Upper Egypt directly from the UAE capital. This addition strengthens our network between the UAE and Egypt, offering customers more convenient and affordable options to travel between the two countries.”

Currently, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates a fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft flying to more than 30 international destinations. The airline also confirmed plans to expand both its fleet and route map by the end of the year.

Passengers flying with the carrier can enjoy a range of onboard services, including:

  • SkyTime: free in-flight streaming.
  • SkyCafe: affordable onboard catering.
  • Air Rewards: the airline’s loyalty programme.

Tickets for the new Abu Dhabi Assiut route are now available via Air Arabia’s official website, call centre, and authorised travel partners.
