The Liwa International Festival 2025–2026, one of the UAE’s most anticipated annual events, returns this December, promising a thrilling fusion of motorsports, heritage, and family entertainment in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra region.
Set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Tal Moreeb, the UAE’s tallest sand dune, this 23-day festival will run from December 12, 2025, to January 3, 2026, drawing motorsport enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and culture lovers for an unforgettable desert experience.

Getting to Liwa
Located approximately three hours’ drive from Abu Dhabi City, Liwa is easily accessible by road.
- By Car: Follow Sheikh Zayed Road (E10) toward Sweihan/Al Ain, then continue along signs to Liwa. Most major routes are paved, but a 4×4 vehicle is recommended for exploring dune areas or desert campsites.
Camping at Liwa
For many visitors, camping is the best way to immerse themselves in the desert magic. The festival offers both public camping zones and private sites bookable via the Liwa Sports Club app.
