UAE: Emirates Rolls Out Free Starlink WiFi Across Entire Fleet

Emirates has confirmed it will offer free high-speed Starlink WiFi on all its in-service aircraft, with the rollout beginning in November 2025 and completing by mid-2027. The programme starts with the Boeing 777 fleet, while installations on the Airbus A380 will begin in February 2026.

The first Starlink-equipped aircraft, a Boeing 777-300ER (A6-EPF), is currently showcased at the Dubai Airshow, where visitors can test the upgraded connectivity. Emirates plans to equip about 14 aircraft each month, covering its full fleet of 232 aircraft.

All passengers, in every cabin, will access the service for free through a simple one-click login. The airline says Starlink will deliver ground-like internet speeds at cruising altitude, allowing travellers to stream, make calls, work, browse, game and stay connected on both seatback screens and personal devices.

The UAE carrier joins other regional airlines adopting Starlink. Qatar Airways recently announced it has equipped over 100 widebody aircraft with the service, while Saudi carriers have also signed on to deploy SpaceX’s inflight technology.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates, said the partnership marks a key milestone in the airline’s wider cabin and product upgrade strategy. “We’re introducing the world’s fastest WiFi, giving passengers seamless connectivity and elevating their inflight experience,” he said. The rollout is taking place alongside Emirates’ cabin refurbishment programme, which includes new Premium Economy cabins, enhanced Business Class, refreshed First Class, and upgraded entertainment systems.

Chad Gibbs, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX, said passengers will enjoy the same ability to stream, game and make video calls in the air as they do on the ground, adding that Starlink is working closely with Emirates to ensure a smooth installation across the fleet.
