Dubai: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has kicked off the second edition of its “Love Emirates” initiative, following the strong response it received during last year’s launch.

The campaign forms part of the UAE’s Year of Community and is designed to highlight values of unity, belonging and shared identity among citizens, residents and visitors.

This year, the celebrations are being held at Global Village, which is marking its 30th season as one of the country’s most popular cultural and tourism destinations. The location, known for showcasing traditions from around the world, mirrors the UAE’s reputation as a place where people of diverse backgrounds live and connect.

Running from November 20 to 30, the new edition features an expanded digital and interactive platform. Visitors can take part in on-ground activities, visual displays, video features and social media engagement, all centered on the “Love Emirates” theme.

GDRFA Dubai said the initiative aims to strengthen community ties and encourage direct interaction between government entities and the public. It also highlights creative approaches to celebrating national identity and promoting a sense of belonging.

According to the authority, the campaign supports social cohesion, reinforces the UAE’s position as a global hub of cultural diversity and coexistence, and reflects GDRFA Dubai’s ongoing commitment to community-focused programmes that enhance quality of life and share the UAE’s story with the world.
