Dubai, UAE — January 2026 — The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has inaugurated a new initiative, “Eco Smart Industry,” designed to support member factories in enhancing their environmental performance and transitioning toward sustainable production models.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the program encourages private-sector manufacturers to adopt leading environmental practices, reduce energy consumption, implement clean energy solutions, and integrate smart technologies to boost productivity.

A primary objective of the initiative is to minimize industrial environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, and contribute to sustainable economic development. In its first phase, the program will involve over 100 factories through a dedicated interactive online platform.

This platform will serve as a hub for sharing best practices and solutions focused on sustainability, environmental balance, resource conservation, recycling, and energy efficiency. Additionally, it will increase awareness of relevant sector laws and regulations, aiming to elevate both the environmental and operational performance of participating facilities.

As part of the initiative, the Chamber will formally recognize those establishments that show exceptional commitment to sustainability standards, corporate social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and worker safety protocols.

“Eco Smart Industry” falls under the Ajman Chamber’s portfolio of 2026 projects and programs. It aligns with the broader goals of Ajman Vision 2030 and the UAE Vision 2031, seeking to strengthen the competitiveness of the national industrial sector by harmonizing economic growth with environmental protection and the efficient use of natural resources.
