UAE-based EDGE Group and Qatar’s Barzan Holdings have signed an agreement to establish a strategic joint venture aimed at the joint development of advanced defence technologies, strengthening long-term industrial cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was formalised during a signing ceremony held on the sidelines of DIMDEX 2026, which opened this week in Doha.
According to the announcement, the joint venture will focus on co-developing defence solutions aligned with evolving national security requirements, while supporting the growth of sustainable industrial capabilities in both the UAE and Qatar.
By combining complementary expertise, operational experience, and industrial capacity, the partnership aims to create a more integrated approach to defence technology development and delivery, reinforcing regional collaboration in advanced defence manufacturing and innovation.
