Dubai, UAE — March 2026 — Major state-linked entities across the UAE have moved to reassure markets and the public, confirming that critical infrastructure and trade operations remain fully functional despite recent regional developments.
In a coordinated series of announcements on Wednesday and carried by the Emirates News Agency, energy giant TAQA, global port operator AD Ports Group, and DP World all confirmed that their respective services are running normally, citing robust risk management protocols activated in coordination with UAE authorities.
Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC known as TAQA issued a statement verifying that operations across its UAE entities remain standard. “Power generation, water desalination, transmission, distribution, and wastewater services are operating safely and without interruption,” the company said.
TAQA explained that in coordination with key stakeholders, it had activated its risk management and business continuity frameworks to ensure the resilience of power and water supply across the Emirates.
Similarly, AD Ports Group confirmed that all operations across its clusters continue as usual. As a precautionary measure, the group has activated crisis management protocols in coordination with concerned authorities to safeguard its workforce, partners, and stakeholders while ensuring uninterrupted services.
While noting a decline in traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, AD Ports stated that a corresponding reduction in vessel calls at Khalifa Port is anticipated, but that services there will remain fully operational. The Group also highlighted the adaptive nature of global trade, noting that shifting routes due to regional dynamics may lead to increased volumes across its diversified global maritime network.
Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, emphasized the company’s resilience. “Global trade has historically demonstrated resilience during periods of geopolitical tension,” he said.
“Through disciplined execution, operational excellence and proactive risk management, AD Ports Group remains well positioned to support supply chain stability and uphold its commitments to customers across its global network, in line with vision with our wise leadership,” he added.
In Dubai, DP World confirmed that all four terminals at Jebel Ali Port, the largest in the Middle East, are operating normally. Handling over 15 million TEUs annually, the port serves as a critical gateway for trade across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
“We continue to monitor developments closely and remain in close coordination with the relevant authorities,” DP World said in a statement. “Enhanced safety and security measures remain in place across the port. The safety and well-being of our people, customers and partners remain our top priority.”
