Kuwait Airways has resumed all flight operations through Terminal 4 (T4) at Kuwait International Airport after authorities completed comprehensive safety assessments and confirmed the facility is fully operational.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (DGCA) announced on Wednesday that the decision followed extensive field inspections and technical evaluations conducted by specialised teams in coordination with relevant government agencies. The assessments verified that the terminal was ready to safely accommodate passengers and aircraft operations.
According to the authority, the resumption applies exclusively to Kuwait Airways flights operating from Terminal 4. Travellers have been advised to contact Kuwait Airways directly to confirm flight schedules and travel arrangements before heading to the airport.
The DGCA reaffirmed that passenger and staff safety remains its top priority, adding that it will continue working closely with all concerned entities to ensure smooth airport operations while maintaining the highest standards of security and safety.
Terminal 4 operations had been temporarily suspended after emergency measures were activated at Kuwait International Airport following an incident in which Terminal 1 was reportedly impacted by an Iranian drone attack. During the suspension, technical teams carried out damage assessments and implemented the necessary measures to restore safe operations.
The reopening of Terminal 4 marks a significant step towards normalising airport services and ensuring continuity of air travel for Kuwait Airways passengers.
