Dubai, UAE — July 2026 — Dubai-based Sellforce International, a subsidiary of RAJ Group, has become the first Indian family-owned company to be listed in the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism’s Unified Registry for Family Companies, the ministry announced Monday.

The registration certificate was presented in the presence of Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, and Dr. Mustafa Saasa, Chairman and Managing Director of RAJ Group of Companies, after Sellforce completed all procedures under Federal Decree-Law No. 37 of 2022 on Family Companies.

According to the Emirates News Agency, Bin Touq said the milestone reflects the success of the UAE’s economic and legislative policies in strengthening the country’s appeal to family businesses, and noted that family firms in the UAE now contribute 60% of GDP, employ around 80% of the workforce, and make up roughly 90% of all private companies in the country. He added that the sector operates across more than 2,000 economic activities under the country’s regulatory framework.

The registration comes as the UAE consolidates its position as a regional hub for family businesses: the country ranked second in the Arab world by number of listed family companies on Forbes Middle East’s “Top 100 Arab Family Businesses 2026” list, with 31 companies on the ranking, four of them among the top ten Arab family businesses overall.

Dr. Saasa said the accreditation makes his company the first UAE-based, Indian family-owned business to receive this status, calling it a milestone in a legacy stretching back to 1958, when the group’s parent company, Sasa Trading, was founded in Dubai. Sellforce has since grown into a multi-sector operator spanning building materials, GPS technology, power tools, real estate, cosmetics, and consulting, with operations across the Middle East, Africa, and India.
