The forum will focus on cooperation in technology and innovation, the digital economy, advanced industries, and tourism, hospitality and food sectors, alongside direct business meetings between businesswomen and companies from both countries.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais said that UAE-Korea relations are entering a new phase of growth, bolstered by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, noting the Chamber’s keenness to capitalize on this momentum to open new markets for Sharjah’s business community and attract quality Korean investment to the emirate.
He added that the timing of the mission, coinciding with Emirati Women’s Day, reflects the advanced standing Emirati women have achieved in the business sector and their role as active partners in building economic relations and strengthening the UAE’s presence in global markets.
For his part, Ambassador Lee Won-ik welcomed the Sharjah Chamber delegation, affirming his country’s interest in expanding cooperation with the emirate in artificial intelligence, energy, innovation and advanced industries, and the embassy’s readiness to support efforts to enhance communication between companies and institutions on both sides.
