The Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC) will participate as the Official Government Cybersecurity Partner at GISEC Global 2026, taking place from 16 to 18 September at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai.

During the event, DESC will showcase its latest cybersecurity initiatives, share expertise with international partners and contribute to discussions on the evolving global cyber landscape. The Centre will also host the second editions of two flagship competitions, the Dubai Cyber Challenge – Government Edition and the School of Cyber Defense.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, the Dubai Cyber Challenge will bring together cybersecurity professionals from Dubai Government entities. Participants will test their abilities through practical challenges based on real-world cyber scenarios.

The School of Cyber Defense will give university students from across the UAE an opportunity to demonstrate and strengthen their cybersecurity skills. Finalists will compete during GISEC Global 2026.

Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, Chief Executive of the Dubai Electronic Security Centre, said the rapid development of the digital landscape was creating increasingly complex cyber challenges.

He added that DESC was developing initiatives and solutions to strengthen Dubai’s readiness, respond to emerging threats and support the emirate’s position as one of the world’s most secure and resilient digital cities.

On 17 September, DESC will host members of the International Coalition for Cybersecurity Workforce (ICCSW) on the Government Stage in Hall 6. The session will focus on the future of cybersecurity skills and the international alignment of skills frameworks and professional standards.

DESC’s participation supports the objectives of the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy and highlights its commitment to developing specialised capabilities, exchanging knowledge and expanding cooperation with local and international partners.

The public can register for GISEC Global 2026, attend its sessions and visit DESC at Hall 5 to learn more about its latest projects and engage with its cybersecurity experts.
