A high-level delegation of 15 leading women entrepreneurs from China has begun a two-week official visit to the United Arab Emirates to explore investment opportunities and strengthen business ties between the two countries.
The delegation represents companies and business groups with combined annual revenues of around 4.85 billion yuan and is taking part in an investment-focused programme covering several emirates.
The visit is jointly organised by the General Women’s Union (GWU) and the UAE Embassy in Beijing, with a focus on identifying potential areas for cooperation and building long-term economic partnerships between Emirati and Chinese women entrepreneurs.
Delegation members represent a broad range of sectors, including industry, trade, hospitality, tourism, food security, biotechnology, infrastructure, new energy, smart lighting, real estate, investment services, textiles and clothing.
Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the General Women’s Union, said the visit reflects the GWU’s efforts to expand international cooperation for women and connect them with economic and investment opportunities capable of creating sustainable value.
She said the initiative is designed to move beyond traditional exchanges of visits and expertise by creating direct economic connections that could lead to partnerships, investments and joint ventures.
Al Suwaidi added that the programme will give the Chinese delegation first-hand exposure to the UAE’s economic ecosystem, advanced infrastructure, competitive business environment and investment opportunities across several sectors.
The visit is also expected to create direct links between Chinese women entrepreneurs and Emirati businesswomen, helping both sides explore areas of mutual interest and potential commercial collaboration.
The initiative further highlights the growing economic relationship between the UAE and China, while placing greater emphasis on the role of women entrepreneurs in supporting investment, innovation and sustainable business growth.
