Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation, TÜRKONFED, to strengthen economic, trade and investment relations between Ras Al Khaimah and Türkiye.
The agreement is designed to establish effective communication channels between the two business communities while creating new opportunities for large companies, startups and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Mohamed Mosbbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the agreement represents an important strategic step for the emirate’s business community, particularly given TÜRKONFED’s position as one of Türkiye’s leading independent non-governmental economic organisations.
He noted that TÜRKONFED represents more than 31 sub-federations and over 300 associations, bringing together more than 100,000 Turkish companies operating across a wide range of sectors, including major corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The cooperation is expected to support stronger business connectivity between Ras Al Khaimah and Türkiye, while encouraging trade partnerships, investment opportunities and greater engagement between companies from both markets.
The agreement was signed by Al Nuaimi on behalf of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber and Süleyman Sönmez, President of TÜRKONFED.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Yaser Abdullah Al Ahmed, Chief Government & Corporate Relations Officer at RAKEZ, and Arda Batu, Secretary-General and member of TÜRKONFED’s Board of Directors.
The partnership reflects Ras Al Khaimah’s continued efforts to expand its international commercial network and strengthen ties with major business organisations and private-sector institutions in key global markets.
