Abu Dhabi, UAE – 23 October 2026 – Louvre Abu Dhabi invites audiences to attend the opening talk in its Art Beyond Display series, Strokes of Impressionism, where the museum’s curational and research teams will discuss Renoir’s Berthe Morisot and her daughter, Julie Manet (1894), a portrait that brings friendship, family, and artistic ambition into focus.
At the heart of the painting is Berthe Morisot, one of Impressionism’s founding figures, and her close friendship with Renoir. The talk delves into their lives, their creative connections, and the world that shaped this intimate portrait, helping the audience gain a deeper understanding of the people and context behind the movement.
The Art Beyond Display series, which will unfold over the coming months, will explore the curatorial thinking, research and discoveries behind the museum’s collection, revealing new perspectives on the artworks and objects we encounter.
