Bitcoin Asia 2025 opens free general access pass for Hong Kong event

To widen regional participation

Organisers of Bitcoin Asia 2025 have announced that all general admission passes to this year’s conference will be offered free of charge, in a move aimed at expanding access and engagement with digital asset technologies across Asia and beyond.

The event will take place on August 28 and 29 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This marks the second edition of the regional Bitcoin conference, following the inaugural gathering in 2024, which drew significant attendance from industry leaders, developers, and government officials.

The decision to waive fees for general attendees is part of a broader strategy to make Bitcoin-related education and networking more accessible to the public. The announcement follows the success of Bitcoin 2025 in Nashville, which saw over 35,000 attendees, 400+ sponsors, and a Guinness World Record, making it the largest Bitcoin event in history.

A similar free ticket campaign for Bitcoin 2026 saw 20,000 general passes claimed in under 48 hours, demonstrating the global appetite for accessible Bitcoin education.

Asia

Asia location

Hong Kong’s status as a global financial technology hub makes it a key location for discussions on Bitcoin adoption, policy frameworks, and infrastructure development. With the 2025 event in Hong Kong expected to draw tens of thousands of attendees, including many first-time participants, the focus is on ensuring broad representation from across the digital finance ecosystem.

Bitcoin Asia 2025 is being organised by BTC Inc., a US-based firm that also manages the global Bitcoin Conference series. It will feature a range of sessions, including keynote addresses, technical meetups, and panels on regulation and institutional investment. Educational programming will also be central, with organisers encouraging participation from universities, research centres, and public sector institutions.

Pro Pass upgrade

In a gesture to those who had already purchased general passes before the announcement, BTC Inc. will automatically upgrade those ticket holders to the Pro Pass tier, which includes additional benefits such as access to a private networking lounge, expedited entry, and exclusive app features.

Higher-tier tickets, including the Whale Pass priced at over US$2,000, will remain available for attendees seeking enhanced access to private events and concierge-level services. However, the core message from organisers is one of inclusion and scale.

David Bailey, CEO, BTC Inc., said: “Bitcoin is for everyone — and so is this conference [Bitcoin Asia 2025]. We are removing every excuse not to show up. Whether you are a student, developer, policymaker, or just Bitcoin-curious, your ticket is covered. Asia is leading the way in Bitcoin adoption, and we are here to accelerate that momentum by opening the doors as wide as possible.”

The regional relevance of Bitcoin Asia 2025 is likely to resonate in the Middle East, where interest in Bitcoin and blockchain innovation continues to grow. Countries such as the United Arab Emirates have made strategic investments in digital asset infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and blockchain-based services. Attendees from the UAE have participated in past global Bitcoin conferences, and regional representation is expected at the upcoming event in Hong Kong.

In addition, Abu Dhabi is scheduled to host Bitcoin MENA in December 2025, highlighting the growing role of the Arabian Gulf in global Bitcoin discourse. The expansion of Bitcoin Asia and the introduction of free general admission may influence similar decisions in the Middle East, where fintech adoption is seen as a critical component of long-term economic diversification strategies.

The Bitcoin Asia 2025 organisers aim to foster global dialogue on the future of Bitcoin, particularly in regions such as Asia and the Middle East, where adoption is accelerating.

Bitcoin 2026 is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas in April 2026.

As the Bitcoin ecosystem continues to grow, access to timely information, peer networks, and regulatory guidance is becoming increasingly essential. Bitcoin Asia 2025 is positioning itself as a major platform for that exchange.
