Dubai Police has added a new global achievement to its name after a drone developed by its Unmanned Aerial Systems Center set a Guinness World Record as the world’s fastest drone, clocking an impressive 580 km/h.
The record reflects the force’s ongoing push to advance drone research and integrate next-generation technology into its security operations. Officials said the breakthrough supports efforts to boost rapid-response capabilities, strengthen field readiness and enhance overall safety across the emirate.
The high-speed drone was developed in collaboration with creators Luke Bell and Mike Bell, a partnership that highlights Dubai Police’s commitment to working with global innovators and delivering projects that meet international standards.
The force said the accomplishment aligns with Dubai’s vision to position itself as a hub for innovation and advanced technology. It also reinforces Dubai Police’s role in shaping the future of security systems and smart policing.
According to the authority, the new milestone marks another step toward building a more advanced operational framework, one that leverages cutting-edge tools to transform policing and set new benchmarks worldwide.
