Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone has entered into a strategic partnership with Wio Bank PJSC to enhance digital banking access for companies operating within its ecosystem, reinforcing Dubai’s drive to simplify business operations and attract global investment.

The agreement, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding, will provide businesses within the free zone with streamlined access to banking services, supporting entrepreneurs, start-ups, and established firms at various stages of growth.

Under the partnership, companies registered or planning to establish within the Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone will be able to leverage Wio Bank’s digital-first banking solutions. These include faster account opening processes, priority onboarding support, and dedicated relationship management for eligible clients.

The initiative is designed to reduce friction during company formation and operational setup, making it easier for businesses to manage financial requirements from the outset.

In addition, Wio Bank will actively engage with the free zone’s business community through events and co-branded initiatives aimed at raising awareness of its digital banking offerings.

Abdalla Al Banna, Vice President of Free Zone Regulatory Operations at Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone, said the collaboration aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance ease of doing business. He noted that expanding the range of services within the ecosystem will help companies establish and scale more efficiently, further strengthening Dubai’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship and investment.

Prateek Vahie, Chief Commercial Officer at Wio Bank, highlighted that the partnership enables the bank to support businesses at a critical stage. He said faster onboarding, dedicated support, and user-friendly digital tools would provide companies with greater clarity and control over their finances from day one.

As part of the collaboration, both parties will also explore the introduction of a co-branded corporate card tailored for businesses within the free zone, offering exclusive benefits and rewards.
