Members of the public planning a weekend visit to Police Desert Park may be turned away, as access from Friday to Sunday has been temporarily limited to Sharjah government employees and their families.

The decision applies to the sixth edition of the annual event, currently taking place in the Al Kaheef area of Al Bataah. The update was announced by Sharjah Police on December 24 through a social media video, citing a sharp rise in visitor numbers since the park opened earlier this month.

Authorities confirmed that the park will remain open to the general public from Monday to Thursday. The revised access arrangement will stay in effect until the event concludes on January 5.

Police Desert Park has quickly become a popular seasonal attraction, featuring a heritage village, entertainment areas, a restaurant zone, and a dedicated barbecue space. The family-friendly setup has drawn large crowds, prompting organisers to adjust entry rules to manage the growing turnout.
