Dubai, UAE — April 2026 — The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has held discussions with the Embassy of Vietnam in the UAE aimed at boosting economic cooperation and reinforcing bilateral trade relations.
During a meeting at the Sharjah Chamber’s headquarters, SCCI Chairman Abdallah Sultan Al Owais received Nguyen Thanh Diep, the ambassador of Vietnam to the UAE, with both sides focusing on expanding private sector partnerships and unlocking new business opportunities.
According to the Emirates News Agency, a key outcome of the talks is the planned hosting of a joint Sharjah–Vietnam Business Forum in 2026, designed to facilitate trade and investment flows while creating a structured platform for businessmen and entrepreneurs to explore opportunities and build sustainable strategic partnerships.
The two parties also explored avenues to enhance economic and commercial cooperation across key sectors, highlighting the importance of joint efforts in organizing economic events such as exhibitions and conferences to enable knowledge exchange, strengthen networking, and support bilateral investment flows.
Al Owais welcomed the delegation and praised the strength of economic relations between the UAE and Vietnam, noting that Vietnam is the UAE’s leading non-oil trading partner within ASEAN. He further emphasized the Sharjah Chamber’s commitment to enhancing business-to-business connectivity through targeted initiatives and economic platforms.
The Vietnamese delegation expressed appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledged that bilateral economic relations continue to progress, stressing the importance of enhanced communication between private sector institutions in both countries to effectively leverage emerging opportunities and mutual growth potential.
