In a significant humanitarian step marking World Refugee Day, the Sheikha Fatima Fund for Women Refugee and AD Ports Group have signed a new cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening support for refugee women around the world.

The partnership builds on existing collaboration between both entities and reflects the UAE’s wider humanitarian vision, while aligning with the national objectives of the Year of the Family.

Under the agreement, both sides will work together on humanitarian and community-driven initiatives focused on improving the living conditions of refugee women, expanding empowerment programmes, and raising awareness about the challenges they face through joint campaigns, events, and outreach programmes.

The agreement was signed by Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, and Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi.

As part of the collaboration, AD Ports Group will offer logistical support for the fund’s international projects, including maritime transport, relief supply shipments, and supply chain services to speed up humanitarian aid delivery.

The partnership will also provide technical expertise and advisory support for training programmes and community initiatives, while exploring employment opportunities for refugee women.

Maitha Salem Al Shamsi said the agreement follows the vision of Fatima bint Mubarak to strengthen the fund’s role in improving the lives of refugee women and expanding support systems globally.

Officials from both sides said the partnership highlights the importance of strategic cooperation in delivering impactful humanitarian solutions and helping vulnerable communities build more stable and dignified futures.
