Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi has announced that the UAE is entering a major new phase of government transformation, with plans to integrate Agentic AI into public services, policies and operational systems as part of its long-term vision to build the world’s most advanced government.

Speaking during an Agentic AI workshop in Dubai, Al Gergawi said the UAE government aims to convert 50 per cent of federal operations, procedures and services into Agentic AI-powered models within the next two years. The event, organised by the Presidential Court and the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, brought together 600 employees to discuss the next stage of AI-driven government development.

Al Gergawi described the initiative as a strategic turning point that will reshape government operations by improving efficiency, boosting productivity and enhancing service delivery. He said Agentic AI is designed to support human capabilities rather than replace them, enabling greater creativity and stronger decision-making.

As part of the initiative, the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs also launched the Top 3 AI Agents Award, aimed at encouraging innovation and recognising AI solutions that create measurable impact across government functions.

Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi revealed that the UAE plans to train 80,000 federal employees on Agentic AI tools, preparing them for a future where AI agents and human teams work together to improve government performance.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Court announced its own goal of converting 75 per cent of its services to Agentic AI models, alongside developing sovereign AI infrastructure and secure platforms such as Diwan GPT.

Senior officials, including Omar Sultan Al Olama, stressed that the country is moving from AI experimentation to full institutional adoption, reinforcing the UAE’s ambition to remain a global leader in advanced government technology.
