The United Arab Emirates is expected to experience unstable weather conditions through midweek, as a weak weather system moves across the country, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Cloud cover is forecast to increase from early Tuesday, spreading gradually from west to east, with weather activity continuing until midday Wednesday. Authorities say rainfall will range from light to moderate across various areas, with occasional heavy showers likely, particularly in eastern and northern parts of the country.

Winds are expected to shift during the period, starting as southeasterly to northeasterly, remaining light to moderate but strengthening at times alongside cloud activity. By Wednesday afternoon, winds will turn northwesterly, becoming moderate to fresh, and occasionally strong, especially over coastal and marine areas. These conditions may lead to blowing dust and sand in open areas, along with a noticeable drop in temperatures.

Sea conditions are also set to deteriorate. Waters in the Arabian Gulf will shift from slight to moderate, becoming rough to very rough at times by Wednesday afternoon. The Oman Sea is expected to remain moderate but could turn rough intermittently during periods of increased cloud activity.

Authorities continue to advise residents and motorists to remain cautious during changing weather conditions.
