The UAE Ministry of Interior has conducted the 2026 strategic tabletop exercise “Al Hosn (15/3)” to assess national preparedness and strengthen the country’s emergency response capabilities.

The exercise was organised by the ministry’s Federal Central Operations Department at the Dubai Police Officers Club. It brought together police general headquarters from across the UAE, along with relevant ministry sectors and departments.

Participants responded to simulated security incidents involving hazardous materials, reviewing emergency procedures, preventive and protective measures, and the responsibilities of the authorities involved. The exercise also examined coordination between the ministry and its strategic partners.

Other scenarios covered evacuation and shelter operations, business continuity planning, and the evaluation of operational capabilities. These activities were designed to improve the speed, efficiency and effectiveness of responses during emergencies.

The exercise is part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to enhance the UAE’s emergency and crisis management system, test national response plans and assess the readiness of relevant authorities.

It also aimed to strengthen cooperation and integration among government entities, helping ensure a coordinated and effective response to potential security and emergency situations.
