Exeed drives into the Oman automotive market with Al Mana Holding as exclusive distributor

4th GCC market for the Chinese automaker

Al Mana Holding, a prominent Qatari conglomerate with a diverse portfolio spanning automotive, retail, real estate, and entertainment, has been appointed as the exclusive distributor of Exeed vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman.

A strategic partnership in this regard was formalised during an official signing ceremony held at Exeed’s headquarters in Wuhu, China, between Silver Lake Motors, a subsidiary of Al Mana Holding, and Exeed International. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in Al Mana Holding’s expansion of Exeed’s footprint across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

Al Mana Holding operates over 55 companies across eight countries. In Oman, the group has established a strong retail presence through various brands and divisions. The addition of Exeed to their automotive portfolio further solidifies Al Mana Holding’s position in the Omani market.

Exeed, the premium automotive brand from China’s renowned automaker Chery, is making steady progress in the GCC region, having established a foothold in the UAE and Saudi markets and is now set to make a significant impact on the dynamic and evolving Omani automotive market.

Largely absent from the North American, Western Europe and Asian markets for geopolitical reasons, leading Chinese automakers, including BYD, GAC, Geely, GWM, Chery, Changan, and Exeed, are engaged in an intensive competition with each other to tap new markets in the GCC region, especially as the Chinese home market tanks.

The growing interest in Chinese-made vehicles coincides with governments and residents in the GCC region increasingly seeking new-age automotive technology at competitive prices, as the push for sustainable mobility, encompassing hybrid, PHEV, and EV vehicles, gains momentum in the region.

Exeed offers a unique blend of sophistication, innovation, and performance, which is expected to appeal to Omani citizens and expatriates in the Arabian Gulf nation that borders the UAE.

Oman’s automotive market continued its upward trajectory in 2024, with the total number of registered vehicles reaching 1,704,873 by mid-year. This marks a 4.5% increase from the previous year, according to data from Oman’s National Centre for Statistics and Information.

Private vehicles accounted for 79.6% of the total, totalling 1,356,636 units. The majority of vehicles (54.3%) fell within the 1,500–3,000 cc engine capacity range.  Commercial vehicles accounted for 14.6%, while rental and taxi vehicles comprised 2.1% and 1.6%, respectively.

Exeed vehicles offer refined aesthetics, luxurious interiors, and advanced technological features, embodying a commitment to quality and innovation. The diverse range of models, coupled with advanced features and competitive pricing, ensures that Exeed can cater to a broad audience, from budget-conscious buyers to those seeking a premium driving experience.

Exeed’s Omani line-up is set to include six models designed to cater to a wide range of preferences and budgets. The Exeed RX, a popular choice among customers in the UAE, will start at OMR 12,950, offering a balance of luxury and performance. For those seeking a more budget-friendly option, the Exeed LX will begin at OMR 8,250, providing excellent value without compromising on quality. At the top end, the Exeed ET offers opulent comfort, starting at OMR 16,750, and appealing to those seeking a premium driving experience.

Exeed vehicles are equipped with advanced technological features that enhance the driving experience. The Exeed TX/TXL models, for instance, boast a unique design that blends dynamic elegance with rugged SUV characteristics. Inside, these models feature a spacious cabin adorned with high-quality materials and state-of-the-art infotainment and connectivity features.

Under the hood, the Exeed TX/TXL is powered by a turbocharged engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering a perfect balance of power and efficiency. The intelligent 4WD system ensures exceptional handling and performance in a wide range of driving conditions.

Safety is a top priority for Exeed, with advanced driver-assistance systems, including lane departure warning, blind spot detection, and intelligent cruise control, providing an extra layer of security for occupants.

As of May 30, 2025, Al Ghurair Motors is the distributor of Exeed in the UAE and Saudi Arabia through its subsidiary, Arabian Heritage Motors. Silver Lake Motors is the Exeed dealer in Qatar.

Exeed produces the overwhelming majority of its ICE, PHEV, REEV, and EV models at Chery’s gigafactory in Wuhu, China. Additionally, it manufactures some of its vehicles, including the RX and VX models, in Egypt.

In late 2024, Exeed inaugurated its Middle East spare parts distribution centre in Dubai, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s commitment to enhancing aftersales services across the region. Spanning approximately 12,000 square metres, the state-of-the-art facility serves the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman and will extend its reach to West and North Africa
