Abu Dhabi Unveils First Floating Hotel at Yas Marina

The UAE capital has welcomed its first-ever floating hotel with the launch of the Orchid Overnight Superyacht, now permanently moored at Yas Marina.

Operated by Dutch Oriental Megayachts, the luxury vessel brings a new dimension to hospitality in Abu Dhabi by offering overnight stays on the water. The superyacht features 31 rooms, including 24 standard rooms, four VIP suites, and three premium suites equipped with private hot tubs. Room rates begin at Dh990 per night, with the option to rent the entire yacht for private gatherings or exclusive events.

Swapnil Patrikar, General Manager of Dutch Oriental Megayachts, said Yas Marina was selected for its strategic location offering easy access to both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as close proximity to Zayed International Airport.

Guests will enjoy a full suite of hotel services, including concierge support, curated dining options, and a spacious sun deck. Adding to its appeal, the Orchid Overnight will also introduce sundowner and dinner cruises along Abu Dhabi’s coastline starting in October 2025, giving visitors a unique perspective of the city’s waterfront.

The launch of the Orchid Overnight marks a hospitality milestone for the capital, positioning Abu Dhabi as the first city in the UAE to introduce a permanent floating hotel.
