Dubai Police has confirmed that its network of 33 Smart Police Stations (SPS) across the emirate provides residents and visitors with 24-hour access to essential police services without the need for in-person staff.

The smart stations allow customers to access 32 different services grouped into four primary categories: criminal reports and complaints, traffic services and accidents, certificates and permits, and community participation and support services.

According to Dubai Police, the stations operate in multiple languages, ensuring services remain accessible to the emirate’s diverse population. The initiative reflects the force’s broader strategy of delivering smart, user-friendly public services that improve convenience and efficiency for the community.

“Whether through SPS, drive-thru centres, walk-in facilities or suburban police points, all locations operate around the clock to support Dubai Police’s vision of a Safe City and a preferred global destination for living, work and tourism,” the authority said.

One of the key features of the Smart Police Stations is the ability for customers to submit criminal reports through a live video link with investigating officers who can communicate in several languages. This system allows users to complete procedures without visiting a traditional police station.

Officers guide customers through the reporting process and provide statements for secure electronic signing, ensuring cases can be processed quickly and efficiently.

The SPS network also offers access to services such as inquiries, the ‘Police Eye’ community reporting platform, and a range of public support services designed to strengthen cooperation between residents and law enforcement.

Among the most frequently used services available at the smart stations are criminal complaint filing, bounced cheque reports, cybercrime reporting, criminal status certificates, loss certificates, “to whom it may concern” certificates, traffic clearance certificates and traffic status certificates.

Additional services include corpse entry permits, road closure permits, sailing permits, Police Museum visit permits, reporting of obstructing vehicles, and diplomatic services, providing residents and businesses with a comprehensive digital policing experience.

Dubai Police continues to expand its smart policing infrastructure as part of the emirate’s broader digital transformation strategy, aimed at enhancing public safety, efficiency and accessibility across the city.
