Sharjah City Municipality has announced an extension of free public parking across the emirate due to ongoing unstable weather conditions.
The municipality confirmed that the exemption from parking fees, which came into effect on Monday, March 23, will remain in place until further notice. The decision is part of precautionary measures aimed at easing movement and ensuring public safety during adverse weather.
The waiver applies to all public parking zones, including areas that are typically paid on weekdays and official holidays. These zones are marked by blue informational signage across the emirate.
However, the municipality clarified that smart parking yards are not included in the exemption and will continue to operate under standard fee regulations.
Residents and visitors are advised to stay informed by following official updates from Sharjah City Municipality on social media or by contacting their hotline for the latest information.
