DXB named world’s second busiest for total passengers in 2025, leading global hub for international travel

Dubai, UAE — April 2026 —  Dubai International Airport has once again cemented its status as a major force in global aviation, ranking among the world’s busiest airports for international passenger traffic after handling 92.5 million passengers in 2025.
According to rankings released by Airports Council International and carried by the Emirates News Agency, Dubai’s strong performance placed it second globally in terms of total passenger traffic, reaffirming its position as a key hub for global air connectivity, travel flows, and trade.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport retained the top spot overall with 106.3 million passengers, while Tokyo Haneda Airport secured third place.
The ACI rankings also highlighted leading hubs across air cargo and aircraft movements, underscoring the critical role these airports play in enabling the efficient movement of people and goods worldwide.
