The UAE Games will be held from June 6 to 10 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), welcoming more than 1,000 athletes of determination alongside international delegations. Organisers will also introduce a new visual identity for the event, featuring a logo inspired by the colours of the UAE flag.
The inaugural Academy Bowling Championship, organised by the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy in collaboration with the UAE Bowling Federation and Abu Dhabi Sports Council, will take place from June 11 to 14. The tournament is expected to attract leading bowlers from the UAE and overseas.
As part of World Bicycle Day celebrations, Al Hudayriyat Cycling Track will host a variety of community-focused cycling activities, including races ranging from one to five kilometres and a challenging 40-kilometre ride.
Jiu-jitsu enthusiasts can look forward to two major competitions at Mubadala Arena. The fourth round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship (Gi category) will run from June 5 to 7, while the UAE National Jiu-Jitsu Championship will follow from June 12 to 14.
The national championship is expected to attract hundreds of competitors from different age groups, nationalities, and belt categories. Winners in each division will receive 1,000 ranking points, making it one of the most important ranking events on the local jiu-jitsu calendar.
Meanwhile, Al Ain will host the Abu Dhabi International Open Fencing Championship on June 6 and 7, organised by Abu Dhabi Fencing Club.
Indoor sports enthusiasts will also benefit from the return of Abu Dhabi Summer Sports and Al Ain Summer Sports, two of the region’s largest indoor sporting festivals.
The fifth edition of Abu Dhabi Summer Sports will run from June 6 to August 23 at ADNEC Abu Dhabi, while the fourth edition of Al Ain Summer Sports will take place at ADNEC Al Ain from June 10 to August 19. Both events are being organised in partnership with Abu Dhabi Sports Council and ADNOC Group, offering a wide range of activities and facilities for participants throughout the summer season.
With competitions spanning cycling, bowling, fencing, jiu-jitsu, and inclusive sports, Abu Dhabi’s June sporting calendar highlights the emirate’s growing position as a regional hub for major sporting events.
