Dubai, UAE — August 2026 — Emirati youth have poured AED 4.3 billion ($1.17 billion) into Sharjah’s real estate sector as of August 2026, according to a statistical report released by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department to coincide with International Youth Day.
The cumulative figure reflects 7,052 traded properties held by 5,314 Emirati investors aged between 18 and 35, underscoring the growing role young nationals are playing in the emirate’s property market and their confidence in its investment climate.
The report shows a clear gender split in both ownership and value. Male investors accounted for 61.3 percent of traded properties, or 4,325 units, compared with 38.7 percent, or 2,727 units, for women. In terms of ownership numbers, male investors totaled 3,162, or 59.5 percent, against 2,152 female investors, or 40.5 percent.
The value of investments followed a similar pattern: male investors held AED 2.8 billion, representing 64.6 percent of the total, while female investors accounted for AED 1.5 billion, or 35.4 percent.
Saud Al-Khayyal, Chairman of the Youth Council at the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, said the figures point to rising investment awareness among Emirati youth and the success of the emirate’s broader development approach.
He noted that the numbers reflect a clear trend among younger generations toward building sustainable assets and strengthening their financial stability.
Al-Khayyal added that the department remains committed to boosting real estate awareness among young people and equipping them to make well-informed investment decisions, given how central that awareness is to achieving successful property investments.
