Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) reported a 10.8% year-on-year increase in net profit to AED2.4 billion for the first nine months of 2026, driven by growing demand for telecommunications, connectivity and digital services across the UAE.
The company’s total revenue increased by 6.2% to AED12.3 billion during the January-September period, supported by steady market demand and favourable economic conditions. Service revenue climbed 6.8% to AED9 billion, reflecting continued growth in du’s core operations.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 9.2% to AED6 billion, while the EBITDA margin improved by 1.3 percentage points to 48.7%, highlighting stronger operational efficiency and profitability.
Strong Third-Quarter Performance
During the third quarter of 2026, du maintained its growth momentum, recording a 7.1% year-on-year increase in revenue. Net profit rose 7.3% to AED786 million, while the EBITDA margin remained stable at 47.7%.
The telecom operator also expanded its customer base, with mobile subscribers increasing by 3.3% and fixed-line subscribers growing by 5.2%, reflecting sustained demand for reliable connectivity solutions.
Regulatory Renewals Strengthen Long-Term Outlook
A key development during the quarter was the renewal of du’s Public Telecommunications Licence for another 20 years, alongside a three-year extension of the existing royalty regime.
These regulatory developments are expected to provide greater operational stability and long-term visibility, supporting the company’s future investment and expansion plans.
du also achieved two significant milestones in the financial markets with its inclusion in the MSCI UAE Standard Index and the FTSE All-World Index. The additions followed the company’s successful fulfilment of eligibility requirements, particularly those related to stock liquidity.
Focus on Digital Infrastructure and Future Growth
Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du, attributed the company’s strong nine-month financial performance to the resilience of its business operations and a disciplined approach to sustainable growth.
He highlighted the company’s ongoing investments in data centres, cloud computing and advanced connectivity solutions as essential components of its long-term strategy.
These investments are helping du diversify beyond traditional telecommunications services and strengthen its position in the UAE’s expanding digital economy.
With rising demand for digital infrastructure and next-generation connectivity, du continues to focus on expanding its service capabilities while maintaining financial performance and operational efficiency.
