Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 23 October 2026: Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) showcased its housing services and solutions for People of Determination at AccessAbilities Expo 2026, held from 19 to 21 October at Dubai World Trade Centre. Its participation highlighted how accessible design and smart technologies can help create homes that support independence, comfort and quality of life.
At its stand, MBRHE presented services to adapt homes for People of Determination, including modifications to facilities and interior layouts that make movement and everyday activities easier. It also highlighted the importance of involving beneficiaries in identifying their housing requirements and listening to their feedback, helping ensure that solutions address their needs and their families’ aspirations.
MBRHE also showcased its guide to adapting homes for People of Determination, which explains the importance of considering their needs when designing and equipping homes, and how appropriate solutions can make daily activities easier while improving safety and comfort. The stand also featured solutions for transforming homes into smart environments, enabling residents to control household facilities and equipment with greater ease and flexibility.
His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Al Shehhi, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, said: “People of Determination are partners in shaping Dubai’s future. It is our responsibility to provide homes that match their aspirations and give them freedom of movement and independence in their daily lives. This starts with listening to them and involving them in every aspect of their housing needs, while using design and smart technologies to turn their aspirations into reality.”
He added that MBRHE places importance on developing its housing programmes and services to enhance the quality of life of People of Determination, noting that total disbursements for approximately 100 cases involving People of Determination had reached around AED 7.41 million as of June 2026.
Al Shehhi emphasised that the true value of smart technologies and housing solutions lies in their ability to make movement easier, enable People of Determination to carry out daily tasks more independently, and give their families greater peace of mind. He noted that MBRHE’s efforts are rooted in understanding beneficiaries’ needs and using innovation to provide safe, accessible homes.
Participation in the exhibition enabled MBRHE to strengthen direct engagement with People of Determination and their families and raise awareness of the services available to them. It also provided an opportunity to explore assistive technologies and solutions and consider how they could be used to create more accessible residential environments, supporting housing stability and the quality of life of Emirati families.
