Sip to Save the Jungle: Celebrate World Rainforest Day with Amazónico

In celebration of World Rainforest Day and in continuation of its long-standing partnership with One Tree Planted, Amazónico Dubai marks this occasion with its ongoing initiative of planning a tree in the Amazon Rainforest for every Save the Jungle cocktail and No ABV mocktail sold all year-round. This initiative, which involves all Amazónico restaurants worldwide, including those in London and Madrid, underscores the brand’s commitment to environmental sustainability and raising awareness about deforestation.

In 2021, Amazónico Dubai renamed its signature cocktail from Welcome to the Jungle to Save the Jungle – which is a twist on a Caipirinha featuring cachaca, tamarillo, lime and anise. The renaming was part of an effort to rain awareness about the rapid deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest and its crucial role in combating climate change. Additionally, guests can opt for a No ABV mocktail for an alcohol-free alternative while still contributing to the initiative.

The Amazon River Basis, spanning 1.9 billion acres of rainforest, is home to many iconic species that are at high risk of extinction due to deforestation and the gradual degradation of the ecosystem. As it celebrates World Rainforest Day, DIFC’s beloved restaurant, along with its global locations, strive to offset their carbon footprint wherever and whenever possible, and actively participate in reforestation initiatives.

Since Amazónico partnered with One Tree Planted in 2020, over 30,000 cocktails have been sold in Amazónico Dubai, London, and Madrid, resulting in over 30,000 trees being planted in the charity organization’s reforestation in San Martin, Peru. Through this impactful project, Amazónico fosters a sense of environmental responsibility in its community by recognizing the crucial role of indigenous communities as stewards of the Amazon Rainforests and promotes sustainable livelihoods that align with its cultural values and traditions.
