Ras Al Khaimah: Ras Al Khaimah Police have issued a public safety advisory, urging residents and visitors to remain cautious as strong winds and unstable weather conditions impact the emirate.
Authorities advised the public to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, warning that powerful gusts could pose serious safety risks. Those who need to be outside have been urged to keep a safe distance from trees, electricity poles, billboards and scaffolding, and to stay alert to flying debris caused by high winds.
Secure homes and buildings
As part of precautionary measures, residents and business owners have been advised to ensure windows and external doors are securely closed. This is intended to reduce wind pressure on buildings and prevent dust and sand from entering indoor spaces.
Sea activities suspended
Police also cautioned against dangerous marine conditions, with strong winds generating high waves along the coast. The public has been instructed to avoid swimming and suspend all sea-related activities, including fishing and recreational boating, until weather conditions improve.
Motorists have also been urged to drive with extra care, as reduced visibility due to blowing dust and sand could affect road safety.
Ras Al Khaimah Police thanked the public for their cooperation and encouraged everyone to follow official updates and safety instructions as weather conditions continue to develop.
