The UAE is expected to experience unstable weather conditions over the coming days, with rainfall, dusty winds and fluctuating temperatures forecast across several regions until March 15, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
In its latest forecast, the NCM said the start of the period will bring a higher probability of rainfall, particularly over western and coastal areas of the country. The unsettled conditions are also expected to be accompanied by active winds, blowing dust and a gradual drop in temperatures before the weather begins to stabilise toward the end of the week.
Wednesday: Dusty Conditions and Chance of Rain
Weather on Wednesday is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy and dusty at times, with rainfall possible over some western and coastal regions. Temperatures will gradually decrease during the day.
Northeasterly winds will be fresh to strong at times, with speeds ranging between 15 and 30 km/h and gusts reaching up to 50 km/h, which may cause blowing dust and sand. Winds are expected to ease to moderate and light levels later in the afternoon.
Sea conditions will initially be rough before becoming moderate to slight later in the day in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Thursday: Fog Possibility and Scattered Rain
On Thursday morning, humid conditions may lead to light fog formation in some internal areas, particularly toward the western regions. The day will remain partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of scattered rainfall across parts of the country.
Winds will continue from the northeast at light to moderate speeds of 15 to 25 km/h, occasionally strengthening to around 35 km/h, bringing occasional blowing dust. Seas will remain moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
Friday: Light Rain and Rising Temperatures
Friday is expected to begin with humid conditions and possible light fog in some western areas. The weather will remain partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of light rainfall in western, coastal and island areas during the daytime.
Temperatures are forecast to gradually rise, while northeasterly winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally freshening and reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
Weekend Outlook: Improving Weather Conditions
By Saturday, weather conditions are expected to improve with generally fair to partly cloudy skies. Humidity may lead to fog or mist formation in some coastal areas during the early morning hours.
Winds will remain northeasterly at light to moderate speeds between 10 and 20 km/h, with gusts up to 30 km/h. Seas will be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
On Sunday, similar conditions are expected to continue, with humid mornings and a chance of mist in coastal areas before skies turn fair to partly cloudy later in the day. Temperatures are also forecast to rise gradually.
Authorities have advised residents to stay updated with official weather bulletins as conditions may change during the week.
