OLED displays and creator-first features
Acer has introduced two new laptops aimed squarely at content creators and professionals needing serious power on the go. The latest models in the award-winning Swift X line, the Swift X 14 AI and Swift X 14, arrive equipped with next-generation processors, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs, and advanced AI capabilities, marking a major upgrade for digital creatives.
The duo combines high-end performance, immersive 3K OLED touch displays, and intelligent features to streamline creative workflows. With hardware designed to accelerate AI tasks, support heavy-duty applications, and deliver exceptional visuals, these new laptops position Acer as a strong contender in the creator PC space.
The new Swift X 14 AI is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series, which can directly handle real-time rendering, modelling, and visualisation. This makes it one of Acer’s first Copilot+ PCs, offering access to Microsoft’s suite of AI-enhanced Windows features. These include Recall (preview), Click to Do (preview), Cocreator, Image Creator, Live Captions and improved search capabilities — designed to boost user productivity through natural interaction and contextual awareness.
Its sibling, the standard Swift X 14, packs an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor, built to deliver high-performance multitasking, creative work and AI-powered productivity. The laptop also integrates Intel’s AI Assistant Builder, enabling developers to craft custom AI tools and applications directly on the machine.
Both laptops support up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offer up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, giving creatives the power and speed they need for demanding projects.
What sets these machines apart is the inclusion of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, part of Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture lineup. These powerful GPUs are optimised with Nvidia Studio Drivers, specifically tailored to accelerate professional creative software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Blender and DaVinci Resolve.
Both laptops are Nvidia Studio-validated, ensuring they are ready to handle AI-driven creative tasks such as video upscaling, advanced rendering, and real-time content generation. They also support Nvidia DLSS 4, which boosts graphics performance using deep learning techniques, and Nvidia NIM Microservices, giving developers access to some of the most advanced AI models for building assistants and autonomous agents.
Visual quality is crucial in creative workflows, and Acer has not held back here. The Swift X 14 AI and Swift X 14 feature Calman-verified 14.5-inch 3K OLED displays. With 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut support, high contrast ratios and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certification, these screens deliver vibrant, true-to-life visuals suitable for colour grading, animation, and professional photography.
Edge-to-edge glass maximises screen real estate, while Acer Light Sensing technology ensures the display adapts in real time to the environment, adjusting brightness and colour temperature for optimal clarity and comfort.
The screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, offering durability and smudge resistance. Touch-enabled variants are also available, enhancing versatility and allowing direct interaction with creative tools.
The Swift X series has been designed with creators in mind. An extra-large haptic touchpad provides tactile feedback and precise navigation, while MPP 2.5 stylus support allows artists and designers to sketch, annotate and refine their work naturally. Whether you’re drawing a storyboard or editing high-resolution images, the laptop offers a smooth, intuitive experience.
The hinge mechanism allows the device to lie flat, making it easier for group collaboration or adjusting your viewing angle during long editing sessions.
Both models include Acer’s advanced thermal solution to maintain peak performance during intensive creative tasks. This system incorporates TwinAir fans, dual copper heat pipes, and a dedicated air inlet keyboard, working harmoniously to keep internal temperatures in check without compromising speed or user comfort.
On the connectivity front, the laptops offer Wi-Fi 6E, a suite of USB and Thunderbolt ports, and HDMI output, making them easy to integrate into any professional setup. A 1080p FHD IR webcam with Windows Hello facial recognition allows for secure, password-free logins. At the same time, Acer User Sensing automatically locks the laptop when you step away and wakes it when you return.
Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0, paired with a triple microphone array, reduces ambient noise for crisp audio during meetings or voice recordings, a valuable tool for remote workers and content creators alike.
Acer has embedded sustainability into the design of the Swift X 14 series. Both models are built using post-consumer recycled plastic, ship in 100% recycled packaging, and are EPEAT Gold-registered, aligning with the company’s broader Earthion initiative. This ensures buyers can invest in cutting-edge technology with a lower environmental footprint.
Both laptops are set to launch in EMEA in July 2025. The Acer Swift X 14 AI (SFX14-61G) and Swift X 14 (SFX14-73G) will each start at EUR 1,799, offering high-end performance, robust AI features, and future-ready design at a competitive price point.
With a creator-first focus and future-facing technology, Acer’s new Swift X 14 models aim to deliver serious performance for today’s digital professionals and AI innovators.
